New corporate comms agency Acuitas Communications launches in Mauritius

Samantha Seewoosurrun and Simon Nayyar are delighted to announce the launch of their new PR business, Acuitas Communications. The agency provides a full service PR offering, including corporate communications, financial communications, public affairs, and crisis management.
The agency has a unique footprint, with offices in Mauritius, London and Brussels, as well as a global affiliate network, providing 24/7 counsel and support whenever and wherever Acuitas clients require it. Each office already has its own dedicated local team and client base, and there has been significant client referral between the offices.
In the short space of time that Acuitas has been operating, the agency has won mandates and helped clients in sectors as diverse as financial services, healthcare, professional services, security and technology.
Samantha Seewoosurrun, Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to be launching in Mauritius as we see huge opportunities to deliver genuinely strategic communications with a client-focused philosophy and an ethical approach. We consider that Mauritius is well on its way to establishing itself as a significant hub for Africa and Asia, but that, until now, the communications market has not expanded in the way that professional services has done to support this. We believe that the incentives announced in the recent Budget will fuel further growth, particularly in the financial services sector with new market entrants expected, and that the new Regulatory Sandbox Licence will send out a message that Mauritius is open to innovation.”
Simon Nayyar, Managing Director, said: “We consider that the local market in Mauritius, and the wider region, has a need for high quality corporate and financial communications consulting. We believe that we are uniquely positioned to help clients fulfil their communications requirements with our own offices in Mauritius, London and Brussels, and our tried and tested affiliates in Africa, Asia, the US and elsewhere.”
